Mountain West Home Sales Receives Energy Star Award

Helena -- Mountain West Home Sales of Helena received the 2004 Gold Achievement Award for Top Sales of energy efficient manufactured homes in Montana at the manufactured home industries regional home show in Salem, Oregon on March 2-7. The award, presented by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, recognizes Mountain West Homes for their commitment to energy conservation by selling the most Northwest Energy Efficient Manufactured (NEEM) Homes in Montana in 2003.

Josh Wallery and Michael Sass, owners of Mountain West Homes Sales agree that a successful business is built with satisfied customers living in comfortable homes so they only sell homes with the Energy Star upgrade.

NEEM is a cooperative effort between the regions manufactured home industry, State Energy offices and utilities.  The program involves inspecting and certifying homes built to higher "Super Good Cents" and "Energy Star" standards.  Homes constructed under the NEEM standards typically use 30 % less energy to heat and cool compared to those built to minimum standards. The additional cost of the upgrade is eligible for the Montana 25% energy conservation tax credit.
